Often, our first interaction with our patrons is through our library websites. Ensuring that your library’s website is welcoming to all your patrons can seem like a daunting task, especially if you aren’t a web developer or programmer.  This workshop will help content managers and beginner library web developers gain a better understanding of what it means to be an accessible website, and the tools to use to help you on your way.  Participants in this webinar will learn how to (1) Identify which accessibility laws apply to their website; (2) Understand which tools to use to evaluate their websites, and understand how to interpret the results; (3) Analyze a website to identify potential accessibility issues not covered by legal guidelines; (4) Identify tools patrons with disabilities may utilize to access their websites, and potential barriers to access.

This class will be held online. All registered attendees will receive an email with login information a few days prior to the class date.
